With 27 years in PK-12 education, David Rose began his career as an elementary school teacher in North Carolina, before leading rural and urban districts to provide equitable access to technology and resources to support teachers and students in reaching academic goals.
Prior to joining Lexia Learning in August 2017, David was the Deputy Chief in the Office of Teaching and Learning for the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS). Overall, he managed the budget and academic strategy for all content areas, special education, language acquisition, and early childhood. In DCPS, he was responsible for launching and scaling their personalized learning initiative to 112 schools; seen as a national model to accelerate student learning and promote learner agency. David, a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, as well as a master’s in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University.
